What's In Your Cup?

Early morning and late nights calls for some sort of boost energy throughout the day and relying on several doses of caffeine from coffee, soda and energy drinks can cause negative side effects to the body. So my question to you is... "What's in your cup?"

Recently, I made a juice with a tropical citrusy-twist that immediately woke up my taste buds, while providing me the perfect amount energy to conquer the day. Not only did it taste AMAZING, but it was also was appealing to the eye with bright and bold colors. As I juiced each veggie/fruit, the natural juices created an unique tie-dyed fuchsia and green color effect. Although spinach gave it a loud green appearance, juicing it was a challenge.  Therefore, I decided to puree it in a blender with a little almond milk and added it separately to the juice mixture with a quick stir.  Check out the recipe below to my healthy version of an energy drink! Carefully follow the directions to mimc the similar "tie-dyed" effect.

Ingredients:
  • 1 celery stock
  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 1/2  Pear
  • 3/4 cup of pineapple chunks
  • 1 pomegranate
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • 1/4 cup of almond milk

Instructions:

  1. Rinse and cut fruit/veggies according to juice chute
  2. Take the cup of spinach and almond milk and blend until smooth
